This improved post-comp version is sufficiently polished, so you can concentrate
on the puzzles without wondering if you have triggered a bug, which could leave
the game unsolvable. Also, more interesting responses have been added.
Story: You are on a quest to save Princess Illumina and the game starts when you
have reached the dungeon in a castle, where the princess is kept in a cell.
This short fantasy adventure has only a few puzzles but they are quite good.
They are fair even though one is quite tricky. But if you carefully pay
attention to ALL details, you will most likely succeed. I didn't, so I needed a
few hints from the author.
This is traditional fantasy IF, which I like.
Though short, the few puzzles range from good to excellent so I recommend this
game a lot. It may be, that you need help with the final puzzle, but I am sure
you will say "of course" after getting the right hint, just as it should be.
To sum up, if you don't mind short games, this one is quite entertaining and
challenging.

My biggest question honestly is why my character decided to go on this mission
with nothing but the clothes on his back and a pair of (stolen?) boots.
It felt like a nice classic adventure although I unfortunately didn't get very
far at all in the time I had to play. I had the acidic liquid in the pot I
thought I was going to melt some metal part of the door with, but if that was
the case I never could figure out the right command. I saw signs of another
puzzle in the dark guard room upstairs but never had anything relevant for that
in my possession. Although as I said I didn't get to experience much of this
game, it left me interested enough to want to come back to it later and beat it
properly.

The main issue with the game that I could see were the constant wrong word
usage. You know how you're reading something and it throws you off balance when
someone uses the door word? (Like here :) ) It happens frequently here. I know
English isn't the author's first language so it's to be expected that issues
like this would be found, but it's still frustrating just how many there are.
Even more frustrating is the fact that the game boasts no less than four testers
- did none of them spot the errors either? And this is a very small game
besides; it's not like it has hundreds of locations to get lost in or pages of
text to sift through.
I didn't manage to finish the game or even achieve
much of anything, and as there's no walkthrough or hints available there was
nothing much I could do except quit. After dying for the umpteenth time to the
guards with their out-of-setting night vision goggles, I did just that.
There probably could be a nice enough game here but it definitely needs someone
with a decent grasp of English to give it a good spruce up. As it stands, it’s a
long way from being ready.
