There are a few ways to do more advanced things using ADRIFT.  These are;

Room Groups - Define a group of rooms which you can move the player or objects to
Synonyms - Provide alternative words for system commands
Variables - Define variables that can be used in the game
References - How to use referenced objects, characters and variables
Overriding system commands - Tips on how to effectively override the system commands
ADRIFT Language Resource files - How to change the text in an adventure
Modules - How to import and export parts of your game
